Can we get rid of the stigma that it’s weird to want an award for your craft? Obviously it’s not WHY most of these people get into the business, but 95% of the business is thirsty for recognition. We see this every awards campaign season and it’s pretty normal to want one.

Come on guys. I’m with everyone on the “cast and crew should get bonuses” side of things when the thing becomes a hit. But this was made for under $1M and she wasn’t a “name.”
The payment upfront was not the injustice part of this whole story. The money this made is an outlier.
Should she get an Oscar nomination? Yes.
Will she? Probably not, because the Oscar's are notorious for not taking horror films seriously.
