We have suffered a major loss.
Tuxie Too, our resident dork of a cat is not with us any more.
Tuxie’s body decided to start waging a war with itself - he’d suffered a massive urethral blockage, his kidneys were failing independently of that and last week he did not survive the surgery needed to relieve his most recent blockage.
He had all the best care there was, all the best meds, we did all the right things but our big boy chose not to fight.
We are absolutely crashing out. Tuxie was one of the cats that was just always there - hopping out on the porch, cuddling up for biscuits, supurrvising the kitchen comings and goings and serving as a climbing post for countless kittens.
He originally arrived as a foster, having conclusively proven that he truly sucked at being a street cat. Within a month, he went from a terrified ball of stress to a bouncy friend to all.
Rest easy, Tuxie. We will never forget your chonky butt and bouncy pantaloons.
Last, but not the least, thank you
@Chewy for sending us flowers. We did not expect them at all and it relieved a bit of grief to know that someone else took the time to acknowledge his passing. Thank you. 💔❤️
(That’s Wendy giving the bouquet a sniff. Nope, those are not lilies. Nope, kitties won’t get to eat the flowers, we’ve already moved them out of reach.)
