Most product builders want to create great things, but those things need to generate a profit or else there's no point in doing them because you can't have a business. If you're not making money, you have to close the business. Otherwise, you're running a charity.

When the team pushes in 3 directions, I need to remind myself that I need to create space for each member to work alone, but toward the same goal. Often they realize they're saying the same things, just with different words.

Time is your only finite resource. An hour spent building the wrong product is an hour you can never buy back.

How I introduced myself before: 👎 “I run workshops.” How I do it now: 👍 “I help leadership teams stop arguing in circles and help them make important decisions that move the needle for their organisation.” One was selling Post-it notes. The other sells outcomes.

The best #facilitators don’t solve problems. They just make space for others to solve them.

Tired of ads and social feeds ruining your morning motivation? 5 mins of Alex Hormozi hits me harder than an hour of sassy motivational content. But finding that kind of raw, tactical stuff without ads or clutter? Feels harder than it should be. How do you start your mornings?

#Meetings can be like a game. We need rules and tools to make sure everyone plays well together and gets stuff done.

Myths of Product Innovation: - Start with tech - Prioritize technical capabilities - Needs inferred from tech trends The Reality: - Start with end-user needs - Create value by solving real problems - Use tech as a supportive tool Don’t believe everything you read.

To truly excel in user testing and unlock its value, focus on these 3 essentials 👇 1️⃣ Consistency is Key Regularly engage with users. Make this a routine, not a rarity. This nurtures empathy and makes the approach more relatable. 2️⃣ Inclusive Approach Involve diverse teams in crafting interview questions. Encourage their presence during tests and share findings. This broadens perspectives, deepening empathy and insight. 3️⃣ Embrace the Human Touch While numbers and surveys have their role, nothing beats personal interaction. Active listening and spontaneous responses in interviews reveal invaluable insights. Do these resonate with you? 🤔 Any vital elements you think should be added to user testing? Share your thoughts below! 👇 ........ Enjoyed this? For more insights, follow me - @TheCollabChef .

Too many meetings, too little action? 🔄 Time to flip the script. Let's transform endless discussions into decisive doings. 🚀 Embrace the 'do more, talk less' mantra. Make every meeting a launchpad for action, not just another calendar entry. Sam Altman exemplifies this with his 'do more, talk less' approach. Recent events have shown how much people appreciate Sam for what he has done for them. _______ If you like content like this, around tech products, make sure to follow: @TheCollabChef

The most common mistake I see during the User Testing? 👨‍🔬 (Side note there are plenty more - let me know your examples in the comments) Confusing usability with value. 🤔 The waste bin of innovation is overflowing with products that were perfectly usable... ...but ultimately weren't valuable to users. (Just ask Google. 👓) When deciding what features to include in the prototype, and the direction ot interview questioning, we're not only looking for basic UX interactions, but the way the product makes the user *feel*. 🤩 1️⃣ Is it valuable enough... 2️⃣ impactful enough... 3️⃣ desirable enough... to make them click pay? Any more common user testing mistakes? Let me know below. 👇 #usertesting

Product Design = This is a pen. UX Design= Is this a pen? UI Design = This is not a pen. Interaction Design = This pen moves when I poke it. Service Design = Let me help you get a pen. Industrial Design = Here is a better pen. Advertising Design = You need this pen.

Ditch the traditional sales-led strategy in 2023: Freemium is the new normal. Customers don’t want to buy before they try. Dealing with a sales person feels like a chore. If you don’t let them experience value first, they’ll go elsewhere.

Product-led growth goes a lot deeper than ‘try-before-you-buy’. Yes, it radically streamlines sales... But it also cuts costs and maximizes efficiency across the board through smarter innovation, user-centricity and cross-functional collaboration.
