Ship operations are changing faster than maritime regulation can acknowledge. Informal systems, commercial pressure, and legal ambiguity now shape decisions on the bridge. I write long-form analysis on where law, compliance, and seamanship actually collide.

An advisory. After three vessels attacked. After Indian seafarers killed. An advisory. This is not protection. It is paperwork. It tells seafarers what they already know—that the waters are dangerous. It does nothing to make them safer. Indian crews did not create this crisis. They are caught in it. They deserve more than a circular. They deserve a government that will demand accountability from the ally that fired the missiles. #IndianSeafarers #Hormuz #DGShipping #Accountability

Ik geloof dat piraterij slecht is, zelfs wanneer de Britse regering de piraten zijn. Het VK heeft geen wettelijke basis om Russische tankers in beslag te nemen namens BP, Shell en Chevron. Er zullen gevolgen zijn.
I believe piracy is bad, even when UK government are the pirates. UK has no legal basis for seizing Russian tankers on behalf of BP, Shell, and Chevron. There will be consequences.

After long warm-water anchorage, the question is not only hull fouling. It is propeller response, sea chest condition, cooling margin, and evidence before claims begin. Full analysis: thedeepdraft.com/2026/06/08/…

Biofouling is easy to ignore until the vessel is asked to perform. After prolonged warm-water anchorage, the real questions are speed, propeller response, sea chest condition, cooling margin, and evidence before claims begin.
