i had to actually fact check this and yes
Turkey had only been in 2 other world cups, and only lost 1 match each - in 1954 they only lost to West Germany (they won the tournament) and in 2002 they lost to Brazil twice (same)
Every team that has beaten Türkiye at the World Cup has gone on to win that tournament 😉🇦🇺

is it just me or have this Round 1 of the World Cup been a lot “slower” then other first round of world cups? feel like so many teams are massively underperforming in the final third - only 1 game have the winner comfortably outscored the opposition (USA)
