People find our curriculum at @TheOdinProject useful. That's cool but I am MOST proud of the learning environment we've cultivated in our Discord server.
This didn't happen overnight and is a result of persistent dedication and collaborative discussions across our entire team.
ALT Learner from The Odin Project discord sharing "Ok I learned that is ok to ask questions frequently as long as their rich in context. Mistakes and obstacles are opportunities for growth. Relaxing more and putting excessive pressure on oneself causes even more stress. Good for me to reiterate that. Thanks again team, got to go! ❤️"
Odin project supremacy @TheOdinProject
I started TOP a month ago. Though I'm a professional developer with 2 years of experience there's so much more to know with each lesson!
I'm on the Foundation module. I'm excited to see what the other paths hold!!
Highly recommended
Tuned in to the #theodinproject live chat hosted by @bycdiaz and Denis Lantsman💥. One key take away is the advice to forgo using Open Ai or LLM's while learning to code your earlier stages as this will hinder your future problem-solving skills. An example given in the live chat.
Denis Lantsman is a Senior Staff Engineer with the @desmosclassroom team at @Amplify . Denis has been involved in hiring for the past 8 years and was previously an engineer at Yelp. He will be the main speaker for the event.
@bycdiaz is also a Software Engineer @desmosclassroom
This Saturday (8 PM UTC) @bycdiaz will host a fireside chat with a Senior Staff Engineer Denis Lantsman.
They will be discussing stuff like programming fundamentals and what hiring managers look for in entry level candidates.

I entertained getting into teaching in the past but it just never worked out for lots of reasons. Instead, I've found other ways to explore that informally. Most recently, with helping people #LearnToCode at @TheOdinProject.
Today feels especially rewarding.
