The โ$โ isnโt there for jokes, it gives the name a financial identity while still keeping the clean Base pronunciation.
Feels more like a luxury onchain brand than a meme.

so decided to explore base github myself
and here's what i found ๐
> base is building B20: native precompile token standard that runs at the node level, not through EVM smart contracts
> built-in factory for 3 variants: standard, stablecoin, security token
looks like $BASE won't be just another ERC-20, it will be native to @base
but there is zero information in the code about snapshot, airdrop or token launch
trust only official announcements
