Bit of a break from politics. Here's a wonderful & very emotional clip from Band of Brothers. WWII has ended. The German forces have surrendered and a German general asks permission to give a parting address to his soldiers. The men listen as the General's words are translated by an American soldier. Its interesting to observe the faces of the allied troops, as they slowly realise that the words of the German General apply just as well to themselves. Then the unspoken thought arises. Have they been fighting and killing their own brothers? The overall scene is a brilliant comment on who really suffers from wars. Its a very succinct and understated message that has more impact for the subdued manner by which it is conveyed. IMHO a wonderful piece of screenplay.

It was always the plan! We shouldn't be surprised at the recent rise in street violence around immigration. The communists (who pose as moderates) have been working towards this for decades. They couldn't achieve that instability in an homogenous united society, so they had to import the division.

The main problem today is that people are not taught accurate history. If they were, they could see what is happening today as the same old same old. If you know anything of history & the communists, it sticks out like dog's testicals.

China, Russia, Cuba, Nth Korea are all examples of communist states that came from street rioting. In those cases, Russian guns & money were used to help local communists win the battles. Ask yourself, who is going to be helping them this time?

Its not "controversial". Many countries have similar requirements.
I had a big chat to the chief electoral officer about: - How they are preparing for the radically shortened enrolment period - Why they still think special votes are going up - Why the counting will still take the same as last time

Haven't had enough of trans propaganda/ activism of late? Vote Green if you want to see more... Once (a long long time ago) about the environment, its morphed into a cult for every crazed social reject out there.
Greens MP Kahurangi Carter & a bunch of twisted F-wits indoctrinating a young girl into their perverted sexual fetish movement in CHCH yesterday at a trannny protest yesterday. These people are totally whacked, losers of society that EVERY party in NZ EXCEPT NZ First put on a pedestal.

“Paris Accord is over it’s a waste of our time” 🙌💪👏✅✅✅ 👇
Winston Peters today from Field Days : “It’s not a FTA, that Indian deal is an immigration deal, have a look at Ireland and the UK, loose immigration is a disaster and i’m not having it” “National signed us up-to the Paris agreement which could cost us $22 billion, and if that wasn’t bad enough National have again signed us up to $35 billion to pay India for this deal” “Luxon doesn’t know what he’s talking about, ask the Australians how much meat they’ve sold to India since their India deal - it’s been pathetic, and it will be the same for us” When asked about treasury modelling, WP is the only Politician i’ve heard question Superannuation forecast in 30 years “ Everything will be different, what about AI ? it’s here now, also the Cullen fund was there to counter the aging population, but National won’t mention it, because they want to privatise it” Our Paris accord obligation payments will end up spread between China and India. Our commitment National has made to India for the free trade deal is to promote 35 billion more to them. What’s the bet that the $92 billion in the Cullen fund, a fund built by our taxes from workers, designed to help smooth out OUR super commitments - ends up in Mumbai.

The left are scamming the electoral system & we know it because that was how Chloe Swarbrick first won Auckland Central in 2020.
Despite a huge funding boost and law changes that make administering the 2026 election the easiest in 33 years, the Electoral Commission says it will still need 20 days to complete the count. Very hard to justify in the likely event special votes come in well below its forecast.

Labour stalwart Michael Basset says there was something fishy about Swarbrick's win in Auckland Central 2020. There was indeed, but AFAIK, the Electoral Commission did nothing.

We keep getting warned about the dangers the far right threatens society with. But only ever see the far left rioting, threatening and not getting arrested.

Yeah, the govt & the bureaucracy it has created & funds are betraying us, but surely it hasn't gone so far that they are releasing sharks so they can eat us??
A 2.6m tiger shark was tagged and released at Bondi at 10:24am today. Half an hour later, 3.5km away at Coogee, a woman was attacked at Coogee. If it's the same shark, the Department of Primary Industries, which runs the tagging program, will cover it up. fredpawle.substack.com/p/nsw…

We used to be so proud of the modern society we’d built in NZ. We compared ourselves with the best in the world. I felt privileged travelling overseas saying I was a Kiwi. Now we are beset with racism and apartheid and in serious decline. We’re bitter and divided. What happened?

Albanese's meltdown over the 'Fire the Liar' campaign is the biggest self-inflicted political failure of the century. Not only has he officially marked One Nation as the Opposition - he's highlight a massive loss of trust in his own campaign. As for the Coalition - they're not even in the conversation. Labor is standing at the bottom of a mountain. One Nation is a truck with no brakes. And Angus Taylor has parked his ute in the off-ramp.

The left complain about the price of food, but do all they can to make its production more iniefficient & more costly. Ideologues. Not real people.
Sure farmers don’t catch the subsidised bus, but public transport users don’t get their livestock emissions totally subsidised so go figure

Any X user can see that New Zealanders are far from happy with their current political situation. That is why in the coming election, it is imperative that we strike at the root of the problem. Which is the Uniparty and the voters who support it. The two ticks blue crowd & the two ticks red crowd have over the last few decades voted this country deep into the socialist mire. Yesterday an Ardern supporter made the point that statistically, NZ is not much better off than when Jacinda was in power. Reflecting on this I had to agree. Sure, there have been some improvements, & we're grateful for that. Overall though, we're still in the same old socialist debt (& death) spiral. So if you care, persuade your friends & family, (who probably don't use X & are infected with legacy media inspired suicidal voting habits) not to keep making the same mistake. Given the intellectual barrenness of the Labour party, many reading this are probably committed to making Chris Luxon (the man with the highest unsatisfactory rating) PM. Its a likely outcome, but I appeal here to all sensible people- if you must make this shimmering spineless apparition our leader, make sure that leadership is tempered by strong coalition partners. Under MMP, the core strategy is vote (or ticket) splitting. In your electorate give your party vote to ACT or NZ First & NOT National. This directly increases their share of list seats, strengthening their hand in coalition talks without harming the overall "center right" bloc's ability to form government. Give your electorate vote to National (unless there is a strong chance an ACT or NZ First candidate can win). This helps National secure electorate seats, which count toward their total and can help the bloc's overall position. No way, in yet another example of the same old socialist musical chairs, can Labour win and Hipkins become PM. If we must have his doppelganger Luxon as PM, it will be fine as long as there are good people sitting in govt who will curb his enthusiasm for policies such as Net Zero, mass immigration & political censorship. Don't make the same old two ticks blue mistake and take us down the same old road. Make November's election a win for real New Zealand.

Don't wish to tell anyone how to vote. Although in the above post I make the case for voting a certain way, the intent is mostly to lay out the strategy that IMHO will most benefit real NZ. Its this strategy that guides my comments on X, & that is why I wanted you to understand it.

A nurse with 25 years of service should not lose her career over lawful opinions shared online. Yet that is exactly what Cath Simpson is facing. In August, Cath will stand before the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal. Not because of any complaint about her care of patients, but because of views she expressed as a private citizen. The Free Speech Union is defending Cath because this case is about more than one nurse. It is about whether professional regulators should police competence and conduct, or people's lawful beliefs and opinions. We support the Regulated Professions Neutrality Bill to stop this kind of overreach. But until the law changes, people like Cath need defending.  If you believe professionals should be judged by how they do their jobs, not by their private political views, please make a contribution today. Stand with Cath. Donate here: fsu.nz/donation-pages/stand-…
