Hi everyone! 👋 I’m developing a course on using GenAI for #marketing (think content creation, lead generation, writing, editing, creating videos and images, etc.) — specifically for #ScienceCommunication.
Health, wellness, fitness journos and freelancers - I'm commissioning! Send me your first first person experience pieces, gut health ideas, hormone features and general fitnessy pitches. £180 a pop. miranda.larbi@stylist.co.uk
(1/2) Freelance writers! Betches is seeking pitches for in-depth reported features around larger cultural trends and conversations. Is there some bigger shift you’ve noticed/felt/talked about in your group chat that lends itself to a bigger convo??
Are you a freelancer who wants to explain something interesting or important happening around the globe? Vox's World section is taking pitches!
Peep the pitch guide here: vox.com/pages/how-to-pitch-v…
#SciComm is a great alt career.
No, it’s not a back up option.
No, it doesn’t mean you failed.
No, you don’t have to leave the science behind.
And yes, you can make a whole-ass income doing it.
RT if you agree. RT to spread the word.

I'm writing a piece for @GlamourMagUK about the ways that women's lives change with the days getting shorter (e.g. not wanting to run outside in the dark; cynical but true). What changes do you feel you have to make to your lifestyle at this time of year?

Social media is ever-changing. And it is bloody frustrating (if you ask me).
But that's no excuse. We need to put one foot in front of the other and continue to create.
Make this a million and one times better with a #SciComm strategy. We'll chat more about it in an hour.
ALT Join us for Scicomm chat with host, Nidhi Parekh, happening at 6pm UK time today. Topic: Developing a Successful SciComm Strategy. Where is it happening? Right here on Twitter.

Looking to commission a health writer, who specialises in (trans-inclusive) reproductive healthcare, for a feature in @GlamourMagUK. If this is you, drop me a note on lucy.morgan@condenast.co.uk #journorequest
Hey #SciCommChat'ers, here's the truth:
- I'm a little stretched thin and burnt out
- I keep pushing myself to work on finding hosts, hosting chats, and writing content around our chats, but more recently, I have been struggling to.
(It probs has been obvious.)
Unpopular opinion:
Researchers who don't support #SciComm also do not fully understand how research works.
If you don't invest in explaining it, how else do you expect to win grants, funding, or anything else? #ScienceTwitter
