Synthetic inorganic chemists in the service of nitric oxide biology, sustainable organic synthesis and ammonia synthesis/utilization. Friends with Ni, Cu, Zn!
Ammonia oxidation without metal coordination: pyridine acts as a H-bond acceptor to activate NH₃ towards proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) with ferrocene as a redox mediator.
29 Spartans from @MSUNatSci were recognized for their outstanding achievements and service. Winners were nominated by their peers across the college. More photos: natsci.msu.edu/news/2024-awa…

Congrats to all of our @MSUChem 2024 graduates!!!
Celebrating our wonderful new grads with UG Advisor Sheba Onchiri, UG Director Chrysoula Vasileiou, and Teaching Specialist Elizabeth McGaw.
Accidentally grew this massive chunk of copper sulfate crystal at the bottom of a container.
Turned out really well.
The funny thing about crystal growing is that sometimes, the best crystals are the ones that you grow by accident.
What an enjoyable visit @csu_chemistry with great science and hospitality – thanks for the invite to share our work on C-H functionalization. An awesome time, especially lunch with @YuyangDong 's group.
I am excited to announce my upcoming role as an Assistant Professor at Southern Methodist University! @SMU_Chemistry@SMU I warmly invite PhD and postdoc colleagues to join my research group!
Wow! Incredibly inspirational story from my @corteva colleague Kuam on the powerful influence of someone believing in you (his mother) and how that can completely change the trajectory of your life! #ACSSpring2024

We're so grateful for the visit @MSUChem by Prof. Charles McCrory @McCroryLab - inspiring approaches to electrocatalysis for CO2 and nitrate reduction and great conversations with faculty and students throughout day!
I’ve had an awesome visit @MSUChem. It was great hearing about the exciting work in inorganic chemistry and catalysis happening there, and sharing a bit of what we’ve been working on recently. Thanks so much to @TheWarrenLab for inviting and hosting me!
“The progression of women in research/academia is significantly hindered when compared to men. Such a universal truth represents an enormous loss of talent"
Honored to host Prof. Paul Walton to share evidence behind gender equity in science and the path forward
