As part of their ongoing co-operation and co-ordination to ensure the highest standards of integrity in competitions and guarantee transparency and fair play for teams and players, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) and International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) have reaffirmed their commitment towards integrity in Doha Bank Stars League matches.
Both entities collaborate to ensure integrity and transparency in competitions throughout the season, particularly in crucial rounds.
The final round (Week 22) of the season has become crucial in determining the league champions and final positions – be they the top-four finish or relegation to Second Division…
It may be noted that QSL and ICSS have a joint work programme in place based on promoting integrity and transparency. It included several workshops and training courses for those involved in professional football, with the participation of club company representatives, players and coaches.

How is #Security guaranteed at a #FIFAWorldCup? ⚽🏆
This week, experts from Canada🇨🇦, the United States of America 🇺🇸, and Mexico 🇲🇽, co-organizers of @FIFAWorldCup, are meeting at the @OAS_Official headquarters to analyze their national security frameworks, identify common challenges, highlight opportunities for cooperation, and draw lessons learned to contribute to the development of a methodological guide for co-organizing major sporting events. This guide will serve as a reference document for other #OAS member states.
The meeting is organized by the Border Management and the Protection of Vulnerable Targets Section of @OEA_CICTE and @UNICRI, within the framework of the project to strengthen regional preparedness and resilience practices for the protection of crowded spaces and vulnerable targets, funded by @GAC_Corporate Anticrime Capacity Building Program ACCBP.

The 2026 #FIFAWorldCup will be a celebration of sport—but also of partnership, preparation, and the power of multilateralism. With 16 cities, three sovereign nations, and millions of fans crossing borders in a matter of weeks, this tournament represents more than a sporting milestone—it is a test of coordination, trust, and multilateral cooperation in action. This week we are hosting a high-level OAS trilateral meeting where Canada, Mexico, and the United States are strengthening coordination and sharing best practices to ensure secure co-hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Security for an event of this magnitude requires extraordinary collaboration. Through our work with member states, the @UNICRI, and @FIFAWorldCup, the @OAS_official is helping mobilize expertise, strengthen interoperability, and build shared standards that will not only serve this World Cup—but strengthen cooperation across the Americas long after the final match.

رئيس الجمهورية العماد جوزاف عون استقبل كاثوليكوس الأرمن الأرثوذكس آرام الأول كيشيشيان في حضور وزيرة الشباب والرياضة الدكتورة نورا بيرقداريان في زيارة تهنئة لمناسبة الاعياد، وكانت مناسبة للبحث في الأوضاع العامة واحوال الطائفة الأرمنية واللبنانيين الأرمن في لبنان.
وكان الرئيس عون استقبل الـوزيرة بيرقداريان يرافقها رئيس المركز الدولي للامن الرياضي في قطر السيد محمود حنزاب اللذين اطلعا الرئيس على مشروع تنظيم مؤتمر دولي يستضيفه لبنان تحت عنوان " الرياضة والتنمية والسلام" بحضور عدد من رؤساء الدول وفعاليات سياسية ورياضية دولية وذلك في ربيع 2026. كما تطرق البحث الى مشاريع رياضية أخرى بالتعاون بين البلدين.

🌍 AI Meets Sport Integrity! 🤖🏅
At #COSP11 in Doha, the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) and Qatar’s Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) launched the Guide on the Use of Artificial Intelligence on Anti-Corruption in Sport — the world’s first framework to harness #AI in protecting sport from corruption.
Developed with the support of @acta_qa_en and contributions from global integrity experts, the Guide explores how AI can detect, investigate and prevent match-fixing, financial frauds, and strengthen transparency across sport while upholding ethics and human rights.
