The 2026
#FIFAWorldCup will be a celebration of sport—but also of partnership, preparation, and the power of multilateralism. With 16 cities, three sovereign nations, and millions of fans crossing borders in a matter of weeks, this tournament represents more than a sporting milestone—it is a test of coordination, trust, and multilateral cooperation in action. This week we are hosting a high-level OAS trilateral meeting where Canada, Mexico, and the United States are strengthening coordination and sharing best practices to ensure secure co-hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Security for an event of this magnitude requires extraordinary collaboration. Through our work with member states, the
