“Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do not do that thing.” – Dwight Schrute
And what is the best way to spot an idiot? Look for the person who is cruel.
💥 Captures urgency of our situation. A lot to do! And on a day of strike in recognition of how stretched staff already are, here is a critical agenda for better equipping and supporting us👇
This article well explains why teachers in the UK are on strike. (Forget the first paragraph.) ‘The Market’ has wrecked our academic life. opendemocracy.net/en/ucu-str…
I should also say a big thank you to the generosity of others in making this a whole lot easier than it would have been: @colinmford@TiroTypeworks@letterror ❤️
Crystal Pite’s Light of Passage @RoyalOperaHouse a ballet set to Górecki’s Symphony of sorrowful songs. Powerful, political, and so unutterably beautiful it reduced me to tears. A perfect example of why we need the arts – all of them.💪❤️🩰 theguardian.com/stage/2022/o…
‘Are we being good ancestors?’ asks the film River performed by the @A_C_O this evening @BarbicanCentre Not so much it has to be said. Sublime and challenging. Thank you 🙏 💙

The exhibition shows work from King’s archive but there is sadly too much here that is not historical. It is all scarily pertinent today.✊#designforchange
Dear @sainsburyarch I particularly like this packaging. The prevalence and placement of the lowercase 'o' subliminally suggests the cotton balls. The alignment of the n, l and l creates the angle and fortuitously the corners of the w and b kiss touch. Subtle use of colour.
Lovely to be @stbridelibrary last night to celebrate the digitisation of their pre-1830s type specimens. Some gems shared by @PauloBarnesi including this unique specimen of typefounder Hugh Hughes. 👏👏👏
Now, this is the kind of kingdom I can really get behind! The marvellous Bob Richardson will talking about his work with the BBC next Wednesday evening @stbridelibrary sbf.org.uk/whats-on/view/a-k…
