Since this was my final SG-1 episode after we received news of the cancellation, I also made sure to take a few not-so-subtle shots at the network.
Shortly, after SG-1 was cancelled, we stopped receiving network notes. As a gag, I wrote a scene into a script that saw our resident alien, Teal'c, inadvertently attend a reading of the Vagina Monologues. I assumed that, when they saw it, they would ask me to remove it... #スターゲイト

Anyone else not getting DM notifications? I can go to messages and see new ones, but I get no kind of indicator that I have said messages.

Since Watergate is trending, here's some concept art from Stargate: SG-1, season 4 episode 7: "Watergate" #スターゲイト A great episode with a lot to love about it, but two things about the production stand out for me.  The first was Paul’s ballistic reaction to the scene in which a frozen Maybourne is discovered.  In this case, Paul (aka Captain Logic) could not accept the fact that someone could be frozen in a standing upright position. Rather, he argued, if you were freezing to death, you would be hunkered down, trying to keep warm.  The fact that Maybourne is discovered on his feet, frozen solid, suggests a sudden freeze – which isn’t what happened here.  Anyway, it wouldn’t be the last logic issue to set my writing partner off, but it was memorable for being a fiery first.  As for the second thing that stands out about this episode for me: the title.  I swear, I thought Rob was kidding when he said he was going to call it Watergate.

This morning, approximately two seconds after I started the coffee maker, power went out in the neighborhood. I'm going back to bed.

The top of this cobbler may look like mini marshmallows, but it's chunks of cream cheese. I found a recipe for pineapple cream cheese cobbler and when it cools we'll find out if it was worth the effort (which was minimal). The crunchy edges are calling me!
