Tomorrow is World Elephant Day. The World's Loneliest Elephant, illustrated by Naoko Stoop, tells the story of Kaavan the elephant. He was locked in a harsh conditions at a Pakistan zoo for 30 years. People from all over the world worked together to get him released.
I'm so excited for teachers to read this book! @lisaaburman is brilliant, and one of the most child centered educators I know. This book reflects all that she believes about environments that nurture learning, engagement, and agency.
