I'm feeling spicy today, so let's roll with it.
@VeChainXNodes and other endorsers.
After
@morbidejs uncovered some things, I think the question of Quantity vs Quality in the
#VeBetterDAO is a conversation we need to bring back to the table.
Please don't take this as an offense against these teams, but just the facts as I see them in this moment.
@plant2earnxyz is run by a developer who says he doesn't have enough time to always be around or work on this project for the dao because, like a lot of us, has other responsibilies including a full-time job. But he runs other projects here. B3ttry and possibly GoPaperoo. He also runs projects on Solana.
Additionally, he is part of a group of devs who live in the same city, but run a whole slew of dApps separately (supposedly) here.
@Ve_EcoBin @snapboxonline @B3trSmile, Walkie, etc. They've shared source code, so their dapps are as copy/paste as you can get, and in my opinion, aren't looking to grow, but to take. They also use the same exit wallet. This was explained for tax purposes.
People can make up their own minds on what they believe or not. And if they are all separate, there's nothing wrong with people working together indirectly, but I personally asked
@B3trSmile if they were working with/knew other teams, and they never responded after a hefty back and forth beforehand.
Overall, we don't need bounty devs here, and we don't need a countless number of dapps that plan to multiply rather than grow with what they have.
They are also hurting dapps that are trying to grow/build here. They are dragging down those trying to reach for the stars down to the ground, where these teams are perfectly fine living as long as they grab as many crumbs as possible.
The owner of
@plant2earnxyz stated they needed to take 90% of their allocation to pay for bills, but if you have a full-time job amongst many other similar apps (can share costs), then what does that really mean?
He has agreed to share the costs when he can.
This is why the recent proposal by
@Plunkeh is a good start to find out how much it actually costs to run these dApps. Even though it's only for grant requests, it will add much-needed context moving forward.
Sorry for the long-winded post, but let me end my rant with this.
$% QUANTITY OVER QUALITY!
Also, please unendorse
@plant2earnxyz and endorse
