Everything I type is done while attempting to hold my phone or laptop out of the way of my toddler. So please excuse any spelling/grammatical errors and typos. They were hard earned! 🤣🤣🤣 #thoughtsonmom #momlife #children #kids #toddlers #sahm #lifewithkids #spelling #typos

And I love Canada. And just to be clear I don’t know a single American who doesn’t LOVE Canada except one and he is a complete lunatic. Pray for us.

#VPDNews: Vancouver Police arrest a man accused of robbing people of high-value PokĆ©mon cards. Since March 23, Vancouver Police have responded to five incidents in which victims met with a man to sell PokĆ©mon cards, usually through Facebook Marketplace, a seemingly straightforward transaction gone wrong. Some of the cards can be worth thousands of dollars. ā€œThe suspect would arrange to meet sellers in a public place and, instead of buying the cards, would allegedly use bear spray on the victims, steal the cards, and run off,ā€ said VPD Staff Sergeant Ryan Campbell. On March 27, Vancouver Police communicated with the suspect online and arranged to sell him PokĆ©mon cards. The suspect was arrested when he showed up. The investigation is ongoing. VPD major crime investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call 604-717-2541. ā€œIf you are planning on buying, selling, or trading items with someone you don’t know, use our Safe Exchange Location right outside the front door of our headquarters at 2120 Cambie Street,ā€ said Constable Darren Wong, ā€œIt is well-lit and we have monitored security cameras.ā€

Hey @TELUS @TELUSsupport what is going on with your cell service in Metro Vancouver? For the past month I have been unable to make or receive phone calls on my cell. This has impacted my work. It's not my phone, that has been looked at multiple times. What is happening?

Many share your frustration—Rogers and Telus service issues have spiked post-mergers/expansions, and it ripples to networks like Freedom under Videotron. Document the hang-ups, follow up on the Beddington complaint via their online form or 611 for retention. No luck? Free CCTS mediation at ccts-cprst.ca resolves most billing disputes fast. Update?

My wife walked into the room while I was playing Resident Evil. Her: "Go back to the abandoned mansion level." Me: "Why? I barely survived it the first time." Her: "Just do it. Go into the master bedroom where the mutant dog jumped through the window." Me: "Okay, I'm standing in the shattered glass and blood." Her: "Look at the window treatments." Me: "The torn curtains?" Her: "Yes! See how they layered the sheer linen behind the heavy velvet drapes?" Me: "I guess so..." Her: "That's the exact drape layering I want for our bedroom. See if you can get closer without dying so I can see the hardware on the curtain rod." ~Anonymous

We may have a lot of division in this country but I KNOW we all look at a cybertruck and think, ā€˜wow, that’s an ugly piece of shit on wheels.

Left Canada on Friday for Florida to visit my family. It's colder here than back home AND it was snowing. I have yet to see snow back home in the Lower Mainland. @Brad604

If you think you're having a bad day: my spell check just let me send out a company wide email telling my employees to fill out a proper time off request when they call out for dick days.

A mom has installed a "hug bell" in the living room of her house, and whoever needs it at home presses this bell to fulfill their need for a hug.

Hey @amazon I paid to have my mom's presents gift wrapped and you didn't wrap a single one. Your customer service doesn't have an option for this or a way to contact you directly. I want my money back for no wrapping.

Oh, hey @McDonaldsCanada My family & I were told there are no more drink refills when dining in at our local McDs. They remodeled so there is no more self-serve fountain. Are y'all hurting that bad for money that my 6 year old can't have a 2nd watered down Sprite?

You may have noticed that the temperature around Metro Vancouver during this extreme heat event. It's not as hot as was forecasted. It may feel like we were spared the worst, but it comes at a big cost. Forest Fire Smoke filtering out some of the Sunshine is the reason. But it's high and low-level smoke. Air quality is awful in Metro Vancouver with numbers in the moderate to very high levels the further west you go. So today is again cooler than forecasted, but I can smell and taste the smoke in the air around us. This isn't healthy for anyone. #bcstorm

West Enders stand with the Filipino Community. A new heart-shaped tribute has appeared at English Bay. It honours the Filipino community after the tragic loss last week. Teddy bears, flowers, and messages of solidarity. #Vancouver mourns together. #WestEnd #FilipinoCommunity #Tragedy #EnglishBay ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. If you want to understand the birth rate decline, I implore you, go on TikTok tomorrow. It’s become an annual train wreck I absolutely cannot look away from. Women, en masse, log on in tears to record how badly their day went - it usually involves being ignored by their husbands/kids, not being given presents, or having to do things for their MIL instead of the day being solely about them. It used to come across as weird, narcissistic, and extremely sensitive to me, I’m not going to lie. BUT when I’m being generous I step back and realize that it points to a larger epidemic. These women feel entirely unseen, unimportant, and disregarded in their day to day lives so they NEED this day to make up for it. And when it doesn’t they’re in shambles and go to the internet for support. This and its cultural effect will be studied by future anthropologists.
