ALT Street art underneath the Westway depicting a large tree. On the tree is written Ayeesha’s poem ‘Never Forget’
I will never forget the sirens
I will never forget how scary the fire was
I will never forget how worrying the fire was
I will never forget that I survived
I will never forget my friends and neighbours who didn’t survive
We can’t change the past - but we can change the future
We will stay strong
We will rise up as a community
We will fight for justice together
We will always remember our friends and our neighbours
We will always remember our homes
We can’t change the past but we can change the future
Never Forget
On the tree, scattered between the words of the poem are green heart shapes that look like leaves that share thoughts and messages along the theme’s of the poem
Mulberry trees 🌳 🍇 are often not as old as they look - this one at the Church of St John, Fulham, was ‘only’ planted by the then #MayorofFulham 80 years ago

The ruined medieval church at East Somerton in Norfolk. Last used in the 1600's, the building is now notorious for the oak tree that grows inside the ruins. It's said that a local witch was buried here and the tree grew from her wooden leg to destroy the church
