Fantastic to hear of Active Travel England's new programme of work to help councils design streets that are safer for women and girls.
Walking, wheeling and cycling should be safe, accessible and affordable for everyone and inclusivity is something we've baked into our strategy.
For many women and girls, walking in their local areas comes with a calculation about safety, lighting, routes and risks.
Last night, Local Transport Minister @LilianGreenwood met with women and girls in Liverpool to find out what would help them feel safer.
