On this day four years ago, Activision Blizzard announced the end of the competitive @BlizzHeroes pro circuit.
Orgs, players, fans and even company employees weren't given any indication dozens were about to be unemployed and a scene flattened.
Long live the #HGC.
The most challenging video that I've ever had to record
It's addresed to every single member of the @CounterStrike community:
- Fans
- Players
- Teams
- Collegues
- Tournament organisers
and others
This is a TLDR clip and the full version is on youtube

The devastating news at the Washington Post reminds me of this great @RealMichaelKay rant on the importance of journalism. Give it a watch if you have a few minutes.

The Washington Post has the best sports section in the country, and I don’t think it’s particularly close. Only a soulless corporate goon would think the paper is better without it. A short-sighted, cowardly decision. Shame is your legacy.

If you are going to follow an influencer in to a crypt0/N-FT game please go in knowing you are not going to make money, and know that they are being paid to promote these games.
Had to try weird spelling to deal with the bots trying to sell me this 🤣
Five years ago today, Blizzard shut down the competitive @BlizzHeroes scene with an email to orgs, players, and even employees working on the game itself.
Without warning, dozens lost their jobs.
This was the beginning of OG Blizzard's downward spiral.
Long live the #HGC.
I don't know how, at this point, you can still think FaZe doesn't have a massive culture problem.
They are (allegedly) paying this streamer $1 million a year, that's a lot for bad takes.
