It was great to speak at the Michigan State Political Leadership Program, of which I am a proud alum, and engage with the next generation of leaders. We discussed the importance of sound public policy, and I was grateful for the opportunity to share my experiences with students who are preparing to shape the future of our state.

Sometimes it's good to show up to celebrate others. Diane and I loved doing that this week in own own backyard! Congrats to Americans for Prosperity-Michigan for their opening of a head quarters in Macomb. They are doing so much for our state! And it was a true honor to be able to celebrate Jim Sawyer and his retirement celebration as Macomb Community College President. We are grateful for his lifetime of service in this arena. It was great to be back in Grand Ledge, where both of my sons attended school, for the Yankee Doodle Days Parade. This is a parade I’ve had the privilege of walking in both as a candidate and as a Cub Scout leader, so it was wonderful to return once again. I was proud to join Congressman Barrett’s team, Commissioner Chris Arndt, Eaton County Treasurer Dairus Reynnet, and the fantastic volunteers from the Eaton County Republican Party.
