I’ve been in situations where I’ve initially said no (my words DIDN’T matter) but was guilt-tripped, treated poorly, or pressured so much that I eventually just gave in. I did it with my own volition but it was a product of coercion - which makes it a form of sexual assault/rape.
If someone does something of their own volition, they’re not being forced. Words have meanings.

How come you people refuse to acknowledge that many of these situations involve abusive dynamics? It can be really difficult to be attracted to your abuser, so they avoid sex. Then, we’re coerced into it.

You can do all of this - and MANY teachers do - but it’s not effective without follow through on consequences by admin and parental support. Students are aware of this, and behaviors escalate.
Have rules. Have standards of excellence. Have expectations. Define these clearly. Enforce the rules.
