Imo Korra just feels too painfully human for people’s idealized image of the Avatar 😭.
Aang represented hope during everyone's childhood but Korra represents what happens after childhood ends and the world becomes politically messy, spiritually confusing, and impossible to fix perfectly. She fails publicly, gets traumatized, doubts herself, loses parts of her identity, keeps going anyway, and still chooses compassion in the end.
And Honestly one of the most courageous things the franchise ever did was allow the Avatar to feel genuinely vulnerable and still worthy of love and balance. Thats why I love korra too.
