I just read, and did my best to confirm, that Karmelo Anthony had been under suspension by his school earlier in the 2024-25 school year for carrying a knife. I didn’t know this until just now. He wasn’t under that suspension at the time he murdered Austin Metcalf, but doesn’t this show that he was a troublemaking POS who wanted to cause harm? So, just to be clear, Anthony knew from the very recent past that his carrying a knife was illegal. It was at the very least against school district rules. Why did he ignore them? I think that whether you defend Karmelo Anthony is a readymade IQ test. Too many voices in Black America are reflexively defending him and dismissing the conviction and sentence as white supremacy. These people are infantilized and infantilizing sacks of burning shit that America has found on its front porch. Someone like Jasmine Crockett, who is a sitting US Congresswoman, has made an absolute, disqualifying mess of herself over this. I hope that she and many others suffer the loss of reputation and income from being so goddamned stupid in the face of a just conviction. This kind of racism deserves condemnation.

The strength of Christianity is in its power to REDEEM. No matter the denomination, redemption is the name of the game. As a Westerner, I take strength and comfort in this. I see this power as a guarantor of my freedom to live in peace and believe as I will. Islam would not afford me this, nor would the Marxist dialectic. I do not submit my mind to others’ belief in unjust conquest or their discontent with the economic order of life. I am not thus obliged.

I have known many Mormons in my life and have found them to be decent, loving, patriotic, and principled believers in Jesus Christ. I reject their exclusion by the powers that be, if that’s what Pete Hegseth is engaged in. When I was a student at the University of Texas at Austin, I had a history professor named George Forgie whom I credit in large part with my respect for the Latter-day Saints. Forgie called their church the greatest religious creation in American history. A real success story, all things considered. I hope that all denominations of Christian belief will choose to respect each other and to put aside whatever doctrinal differences they have. There are much larger threats in the world than arguments over the triune God or whatever else divides the body of Christ. Look at Islam or Marxism as the real enemy.
