PSA for parents of young athletes. You aren't doing your kid any favors when you get overheard bashing / berating your child's teammates. That one is free!

It's all a distraction. If it was really about crime, what about KC, St. Louis, Little Rock, Memphis, etc.?

The Trump admin decision to withhold disaster relief funds is even more insane than I thought: It extends a ban on disaster funds from our tax dollars to anyone who refuses to deal with "Israeli companies"

Below is a table showing the number of Arkansas teachers whose home address is in another state. In FY25 (2024–25 school year), Arkansas raised its minimum teacher salary to $50,000, while Missouri remained at $40,000. The increase in the number of Missouri-based teachers working in Arkansas is statistically significant (p < 0.01), meaning it’s unlikely due to chance. The timing of Arkansas’s $10,000 salary advantage strongly supports the idea that higher pay is successfully attracting out-of-state teachers—especially from Missouri. This trend is something @MOEducation and policymakers #moleg @MASALeaders @moasbo may want to watch. @ua_edreform @Kate__Barnes

Seems Missouri's governor endorses the 4-day week as a valuable recruitment and retention tool that all Missouri communities should consider.
Missouri governor cuts millions from state budget for teacher recruitment program but leaves in $50 million for private school vouchers. 🙄 @MoEducation@MSTA@MissouriNEA ky3.com/2025/07/01/teacher-r…

Crystal City Schools is the first school district required to put to voters the decision to go to a 4-day school week as part of SB727 (since Jefferson County is a Charter County). Today's election wasn't even close. @MOEducation @MASALeaders @DougBeck562

Someone, please remind me who '"school choice" voucher programs are going to benefit.
Summit Christan Academy Lees Summit is excited that Missouri House budget #moleg includes $50 million in taxpayer money to cover tuition of over $15,000 per year. State funds will cover about half--for poor families, where is the rest coming from to "choose"⁉️ @MASALeaders

Two rural Iowa schools struggled to compete with metro DesMoines salaries. They switched to 4-day week this year and it's working wonders. Teacher turnover is down, and applications are up. More Iowa schools investigating the move. @nrea1 @Rural_Schools who13.com/video/4-day-week-w…

This cost them a lot more than $1.4 million.
Notre Dame paid Northern Illinois $1.4 million to play them in South Bend today. Northern Illinois just won 16-14.

The current superspeedway package always results in GWC finish due to no requirement for handling. Ready for the return of tandem racing at Daytona and Talladega. At least there was some strategy required. #nascar
