1977 World Series Game 6: DiMaggio throws out the first pitch to Munson. What a memory I love how Howard Cosell had to point out where Joe DiMaggio was at the pitcher's mound. He was 62 (almost 63) years old there. You could feel the presence of "The Yankee Clipper" right through the TV.

In my mind The Moore Theater was the place to be in the world tonight. Joe Jackson front and center for an unforgettable birthday as he helped us all step into another world!

Sun Devil Baseball is saddened by the passing of Sun Devil Athletics Hall of Famer Bob Horner. Horner helped lead ASU to three consecutive College Word Series appearances, including the 1977 National Championship and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the CWS. Horner was the very first Golden Spikes Award winner, as well as The Sporting News Player of the Year. The Atlanta Braves made him the Number One overall pick in the 1978 Major League Baseball Draft. In 1999, Baseball America ranked Horner the #2 College Player of the Century Team.

I’m absolutely heartbroken about learning that one of the Arizona Republic’s photographers, Rob Schumacher, has passed away. Gutted. Despondent. Much of my work for the past eight years at that newspaper had his photo artwork. May he rest in peace …

Such awful, awful news. Rest in peace, Rob Schumacher. There wasn't a big event in AZ (or beyond) that Rob didn't photograph with the highest level of professionalism & excellence. The images he created will endure but AZ photo journalism will never be the same.
Praying for family of local media legend who left us today. Rob Schumacher took so many photos at big events. And when he had one he knew I would like he would send to me with note saying “thought you would like this one” I liked them all. RIP helluva photographer and good man

I remember “Donuts for Dads” at Copper Ridge. And college seemed like a lifetime away. Time is undefeated. Congrats, Shelby! So proud. The world awaits! CMS fit like a glove.

This is a tremendous read - you’re going to find yourself sucked in (no matter whether if you’re interested in the Warriors or not). The brilliant Wright Thompson does it again: espn.com/nba/story/_/id/4868…

Today marks the 25th anniversary of ‘The Sopranos’ fans favourite of all 86 episodes, ‘Pine Barrens’ 🌲 Was it destiny! The snow came out of nowhere. So by luck and by expectational last minute writing, acting etc. this unique and brilliant “bottle” episode was born. Paulie: You're not gonna believe this. He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. The guy was an interior decorator. Christopher: His house looked like sh1t.” 😂😂😂
