If you're good enough at your job, they eventually take it away from you and replace it with meetings where you discuss why other people can't do your old job.

have always been really amused by the idea of a guy with uncanny ability to drive awesome while drunk but no one believes him and he can never prove it
What if it turned out there are real X-Men in this world, but they all have mildly amusing but entirely useless powers.

So thankful I'm dumb enough to orient my life around listening to music! No cope, just gratitude for my subpar brain.

A long standing conviction of mine is that there should be journals based solely on replication studies and every 1st year grad student in a research field should be required to publish to one before moving into their own research topic.
Aristotle was the first to notice honeybees dancing. In 1927 Karl von Frisch decoded the waggle. How it works was "explained" by MV Srinivasan AM FRS in the 1990s. Except @NeuroLuebbert found his papers are junk. A 🧵 about her discovery & our report: arxiv.org/abs/2405.12998 1/

A friend of mine got an email from his employer today saying: “After our extended 4th of July Weekend we will be ending Work From Home. If this is a problem we suggest looking for new employment.” How would you react to this email?
