Hi @BFI -- I've just transcribed a 1926 article which provides the narrative to Bamforth's "Boys Playing in Snow" (Fred Beaumont plays the hapless squire) and suggests it was filmed earlier than 1900

Great to hear 'Blood in the Machine' by Brian Merchant on @BBCRadio4 and @BBCSounds this week, all about the Luddites in @huddersfield and Nottingham. This sword is part of the Luddite Display @tolsonmuseum and is said to have belonged to William Horsfall.
