This weekend, the @PADemParty met in State College for our first meeting of the year. I was proud to join my fellow state committee members in unanimously reelecting @DePasqualePA as Chair and electing @JamilaHWinder as Vice Chair.

With the two of the them at the helm, I know our party is in great hands as we continue building a volunteer-focused, grassroots-driven organization.

Thank you to the voters of SD37 for electing me to another term as one of your voices on State Committee. I look forward to working alongside Mike Crossey, Lisa Baldis, Nicole Ruscitto, and Teddy Tolliver to help steer our party’s mission over the next four years.

Excited to see what he’ll be able to do with full term and am very much looking forward to supporting him and @JamilaHWinder for Vice-Chair when we reorganize this weekend.
New @PADemsChair @DePasqualePA and the @PADemParty have done fantastic work the past few months helping register new Democratic voters all around this Commonwealth.

Tent could not possibly be bigger! Let’s go build some ADUs!
PA zoning reform vote geography is wild. This is the House ADU bill final vote from yesterday. Literally when have you ever seen a bipartisan map like this on any state issue?

So incredibly proud of the all the work so many people did to get us to this point. Truly amazing to see so many from all around the state and from both sides of the aisle come together to support this effort.
Bipartisanship on housing in the PA House! @RepInglis accessory dwelling units bill passes on final consideration. This is the first ‘state zoning standards’ bill to pass since some of us started working on this in 2023. Everybody from Chris Rabb to Russ Diamond LFG

Councilmember Catena has elected to relinquish his position as President of Allegheny County Council. As such, we will have an election for the vacant position during this Tuesday's meeting of County Council.

Pat Catena is County Council prez and had the county party's endorsement. “That just doesn’t work anymore. People just don’t care. You need to give them a vision of how you want to improve their lives.” @TomDuerrPA On Bloam's rout of Catena last night publicsource.org/allegheny-c…

Gone are days where just getting a few endorsements is enough to win races like this. We need candidates from all flanks of the party to earn their voters trust, not just expect their support because of who is backing them.

Pat Catena’s political career ends with a thud. He’ll either resign or be removed as County Council President next week. A truly insane collapse, all of his own making. The last gasp of the Weinstein machine goes out with a whimper, all in his own back yard.
Allegheny County friends, if you have things to do tonight go do them. This race is all but over. Bloam has ‘improved’ from 57% -> 58% -> 60% which each subsequent drop. So far, she’s only lost one reported Election Day precinct, which she only lost by 1 vote. It’s over.

These seven members plus Councilmember Walton, who made the initial motion last night to remove President Catena, makes a majority. Barring any of these votes changing, which at this point I highly doubt, Pat Catena will be removed as Council President at the March 26th meeting

I took a lot of votes during my four years on County Council. There are very few I’m more proud of than my two votes against making this man Council President. He was weak then, and he’s weak now. Vote Brittany Bloam in HD45.
Per a source, here's a mailer sent in a western Pennsylvania Democratic primary for a suburban Pittsburgh district, sent by county councilman Pat Catena on his race against attorney Brittany Bloam.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our Bridgeville community canvass for Brittany Bloam this afternoon! Special thanks to @PisciottanoPA, State Representative Anita Astorino Kulik, @jenforpa & @VenkatforPA for helping kick us off today before heading out on the doors!

Another massive L for those in 2016 who said losing the Supreme Court for a generation would not matter. Absolutely horrible, horrible ruling. Sets up another round of massive gerrymandering efforts and will all but destroy minority representation in the South.
LANDMARK DECISION — The Supreme Court has narrowed Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act with their decision in Louisiana v. Callais, opening the door to sweeping redistricting changes across the South that could erase up to 10 majority-Black seats and flip them from blue to red.

Cutting red tape to allow for ADUs like garage apartments is one step we can take to expand the housing supply and make it more affordable for Pennsylvanians. My bill does this without burdening municipalities. This bill advanced out of the #PaHouse Housing Committee this week!

While Twitter can be a horrible thing, it can also lead to cool stuff like this. I don’t know if this bill would exist if I hadn’t DMd Jon last year when I was pitching Rep Inglis a potential housing agenda for PA. Appreciate him and so many others helping get us to this point
Actual bipartisanship on housing supply in PA! This bill legalizes Accessory Dwellings in residential areas under certain conditions. Proud of @RepInglis and crew for getting this over the line in committee palegis.us/legislation/bills…
