British Medical Journal study. If 1000 people cycled to work for 10 years, there would be 3 more longer hospital stays due to accidents but 15 fewer cancer diagnosis, 4 fewer cardiovascular events and 3 fewer deaths. Answer, increase cycle commuting but with safe cycle routes.
