#TodayAtTomFarms Feeding the crop! Just like people, corn needs the right nutrients at the right time. This week we’re making passes across the field applying nitrogen to help fuel healthy growth and maximize yield potential. Nitrogen is one of the most important nutrients for corn, supporting everything from plant development to kernel production. By applying it during the growing season, we’re giving the crop access to nutrients when it needs them most. Every pass across the field is an investment in the harvest ahead. Now we’ll let Mother Nature do her part. #TomFarms #Plant26 #Dekalb #FeedingTheCorn

🇺🇸 From Rural America to Capitol Hill 🇺🇸 Last week, I (Kassi) had the privilege of traveling to Washington, D.C. with an incredible group of women farmers I’ve called friends and peers for more than 12 years. Together, we represent family farming operations across six states and tens of thousands of acres of production agriculture. In just 2½ days, we participated in 17 meetings with leaders from USDA, USTR, the White House, and members of Congress. We shared real-world perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture today—from trade and biofuels to labor, input costs, and ensuring the next generation has the opportunity to continue the family farm. Advocacy isn’t always done from a tractor cab or a field edge. Sometimes it means taking our boots to Capitol Hill and making sure the voices of farmers are heard where decisions are being made. I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent Tom Farms, Indiana agriculture, and the family farms that work every day to feed, fuel, and clothe our world. While one trip won’t solve every challenge, we’re hopeful these conversations help move the needle for American farmers and rural communities. #TomFarms #FarmAdvocacy #FamilyFarms #Agriculture @ShontelMBrown @USDA @JohnBoozman @WhiteHouse @USTradeRep

The rules of agriculture are changing. For generations, the path to farming often meant inheriting land, equipment, and a place in the operation. Today, the next generation faces a much different reality. High land values, rising costs, and tight margins mean success requires more than hard work—it takes strategy, innovation, strong relationships, and a willingness to adapt. As a multi-generational family farm, we know that preserving a legacy isn’t just about passing down acres. It’s about creating opportunities for the next generation to lead, grow, and succeed. The future of agriculture will belong to those who can embrace change while staying rooted in the values that built our farms in the first place. A worthwhile read on where agriculture is headed and what it will take to win in the years ahead. #NextGenerationAg #FamilyFarms #Agriculture #RuralAmerica #TomFarms agweb.com/news/business/farm…

Farmers depend on science, innovation, and access to proven tools to grow safe, abundant, and affordable food. Thank you, Secretary Rollins, for standing up for farmers and supporting continued access to glyphosate, one of the most thoroughly studied and effective tools available to modern agriculture. On our family farm, glyphosate helps us control weeds, protect crop yields, reduce fuel usage, and support conservation practices that help preserve our soil for future generations. Decisions impacting agriculture should be rooted in sound science and real-world farming experience. We appreciate leaders who understand the importance of keeping proven tools available so American farmers can continue producing the safest, most affordable food supply in the world. #FarmersForScience #Agriculture #FamilyFarms #Glyphosate #FoodSecurity

#TodayAtTomFarms Planting is done!  This time of year is all about plant health. We're side-dressing corn with nitrogen and making timely spray applications to give our crops the nutrients and protection they need to reach their full potential. Every pass across the field is an investment in a healthy crop and a successful harvest. Here's a look at what we're doing today to keep this year's crop growing strong.  #TomFarms #Plant26 #Agriculture #PlantHealth PC & Farmers: Schalk, Shane, Virgil, JP

Enjoyed visiting with Jennifer James, a farmer from Newport, and some of her peers representing operations across seven states and over 74,000 acres of row crops. Jennifer serves as a director of @RicelandFoods and a member of the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board. She is a strong advocate for agriculture in our state and brings together her experience on the farm and policy on her show Field Good Life. Today, she brought her voice to Washington with other women leaders in agriculture to share their perspectives and help ensure policymakers hear directly from producers. We appreciate their advocacy and commitment to a strong, bright future for farm country. #ARinDC

Fertilizer isn’t just another input—it’s a cornerstone of food security. This white paper (in our bio) takes a hard look at the challenges facing global fertilizer supply chains and what those disruptions could mean for American farmers, crop production, and food prices. It also outlines potential solutions to strengthen supply, improve logistics, and ensure farmers have access to the nutrients they need when they need them. Whether you agree with every recommendation or not, the conversation is one agriculture needs to be having. Take a few minutes to read and consider the implications for U.S. agriculture, rural communities, and our nation’s food supply. #Agriculture #FoodSecurity #Fertilizer #FarmPolicy #TomFarms

#TodayAtTomFarms Sunset views from the grain leg at CereServ and a reminder of what this season is all about. The seed corn is popping, the rows are turning green, another crop is taking shape, and we hope to finish planting soon! It’s been a challenging spring, but moments like this make the long days worth it. #Plant26 #TomFarms #BayerCropScience #Dekalb

#TodayAtTomFarms  Flaming #SeedCorn starts today.  This process helps stunt the growth of the male corn just enough to widen the pollination window and improve timing in the field. We use a specialized “Flamer” tool equipped with LP tank to create the pulse of flame that makes it happen. Another unique step in producing next year’s seed! #TomFarms #Dekalb #BayerCropScience

#TodayAtTomFarms From the farm fields of Indiana to national television, Kip, continuing to stand up for American agriculture and rural communities. Tonight on Fox Business, he shared why protecting U.S. farmland, supporting farmers, and strengthening American agriculture matters now more than ever. Grateful for every opportunity to tell agriculture’s story on a national stage. Watch the interview here: foxbusiness.com/video/639608… #AmericanAgriculture #FarmersFirst #TomFarms

This article is worth the read. In a world with endless information, opinions, headlines, and noise, it’s easy to let belief, emotion, or repetition outweigh actual evidence. That applies to all of us. One thing agriculture has taught me is that reality eventually shows up. Weather, markets, yields, input costs, policies—facts matter. Outcomes matter. Evidence matters. Good reminder to stay curious, ask questions, and be willing to challenge even the things we think we know. This article is worth the read. #TodayAtTomFarms Monday definitely acted like a Monday! A few tillage breakdowns tried slowing us down, but all 5 planters are still rolling and seed corn is going in the ground. You fix it and keep moving this time of year. 🌽 #TomFarms #Plant26 #SeedCorn #Dekalb

#TodayAtTomFarms Planting seed corn today, not just growing a crop, but growing next year’s seed. Pretty amazing to think every pass across the field is part of what farmers across the country will plant next season. Thankful for a good window, great conditions, and the opportunity to do what we do. #TomFarms #Dekalb #Farmers #BayerCropScience @BayerUS @Asgrow_DEKALB
