There’s a massive class problem in the UK. Only 1 group is praised in the @GrenfellUnited report. The local community. We have a problem with services designed by middle/upper class people & think tanks for “those people” who live in social housing, draw on social care, benefits.

Don’t forget what they have done. Partygate, the Covid contracts, the lies, the kickbacks. The cronyism, the failure to invest, the division and scapegoating, the trips to the bookies, the Liz Truss mini-budget, the decimation of your public services. Don’t forget any of it. 🧾

This is the Covid Memorial wall in London. It took me a full 10 minutes to walk its length in 2022. Then, there were 197,635 Covid deaths. Now, there are >230k. Boris Johnson’s unforgivable legacy. Then, we had no power. Now, finally, we do. VOTE 👊

Over 4 million kids - 30% of all UK children - now in poverty & still Labour won’t lift obscene 2-child benefit cap? Labour talks about 'hard choices' - but if this isn't a Labour priority, what is? Starmer says he won’t make unfunded pledges. So fund it theguardian.com/politics/art…

The @UKLabour manifesto shows the party is still shadowboxing on #socialcare policy, with only one major policy - a fair pay agreement - and no detail even for that. Worryingly, there is nothing here that commits a Labour govt to concrete measures in its first term. Short thread.

Tory tax avoiders using averages to misattribute tax reform to working families makes me ache inside. Did you know Sunak was worth £500m, but only declaired £2m taxable income, and you'd expect 4% or £20m... Just not fair.
