People are sleeping on this. Apps are an UX for humans, just like a webpage was, a bank teller, a phone book, etc. In a soon to be future the new UX will be voice/text input to an agent. This will blow up once everyone wakes up to how intuitive and frictionless this will be. Apple will be a major driver on this. There is still a place for native apps for content and social, but transactional UX will change.
Stripe and other players in transactions are already gearing up for this. I think this will happen quicker that we think. Friction is a great barrier, and if it is removed behavior will change quickly.
