In these times of geopolitical uncertainty, it is good to have Norway as part of our European family. I had an excellent exchange with the Norwegian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence. Norway is already an integral pillar of European security and defence, with 🇳🇴 companies participating in SAFE joint procurement. We will now work even more closely together as we step up our collective efforts on the Arctic and Arctic security.

As we start the New Year 2026, you can count on me and my team to continue working relentlessly to make Europe stronger. Stronger at home, by fully mobilising Europe’s extraordinary potential for competitiveness and innovation in a world that is changing faster than ever. Stronger on the global stage, by forging new partnerships and standing up for the values our friends and allies count on us to defend: openness, good faith and democracy. Speaking from the bottom of my heart, my wish for 2026 is peace. A just and lasting peace for Ukraine. For nearly four years, the Ukrainian people have shown extraordinary courage under the fire of an unprovoked war. We wish them and all people across the world peace, well-deserved peace, in 2026.

Another year is passing, hard-won through dedication and tenacity, through principles and the daily effort of Ukrainians. This year was made possible thanks to our defenders – those who stood their ground not only for Ukraine, but also for all who value freedom and dignity. Together, we move forward with what keeps us going: experience and memory, the word of home, hope and faith. We take with us the capacity for collective action and our humanity – what endures against all odds. We believe in peace, we fight for it, and we work to achieve it. Happy New Year, dear Ukrainians!

2025 has been an exceptionally productive year for media coverage in Australia and New Zealand. Many thanks to Australian and New Zealand journalists for keeping public attention focused on Russia’s war in Ukraine, the most consequential war for the Indo-Pacific region. Oh yes, already have. These monuments were a high-risk prediction of the theory - one which has confirmed the hypothesis in spades...

At this point it is getting comical the preponderance of ancient monuments which point at ECDO's Np'. Since this knowledge was obliterated, who did not want us to know about ECDO rotation, and why? Why resurrect that knowledge now? - and by whose authority is it revealed?

Norway has selected Type 26 for its future 5-ship ASW frigate class in a £10 Billion deal with the UK. Delivery of the first frigate is required by 2030, which will require some of the Royal Navy ships in build to be transferred to Norway. (Src: gov.uk)

I’m here to reaffirm Europe’s solidarity with Lithuania. Europe needs a strong Lithuania to protect our borders and our people. That's why cohesion policy will remain at the heart of the EU budget. So we continue to support both border security and strong livelihoods.
