Wales has lost one of its finest ambassadors. A postman in his native Llanelli, Terry Griffiths emulated Alex 'Hurricane' Higgins as only the second qualifier to become world snooker champion in 1979. Heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.
We are deeply saddened tonight to hear that Terry Griffiths, a former World Champion and all-time snooker great, has passed away at the age of 77.
Our sincere condolences to Terry's family and many friends. He was loved and respected by everyone in the sport.

Demise of Jersey is very sad but way too simplistic to simply blame the RFU. You need to have access to their books &ownership structure b4 judging & allocating blame.Even two govt grants weren’t enough to keep the lights on.But you can say the club rugby business model is broken
