Tino Livramento has withdrawn from @England's #FIFAWorldCup 2026 squad. The 23-year-old picked up a minor calf injury in training with the Three Lions on Sunday afternoon. A subsequent scan and medical assessment on Monday unfortunately confirmed he could play no further part in England's tournament. He will continue his rehabilitation with the Magpies' medical team. Chelsea's Trevor Chalobah has been called up in Livramento's place.

Brought in Joelinton among others - was put in charge of outgoings last summer though. People always spoke highly of him & departure described as 'amicable'. Feeling him moving on might be inevitable with restructure of recruitment overseen by Ross Wilson. Sounds like he's got a good offer to go to. Steve Nickson was part of a recruitment team at #nufc. The last player he played a major role in identifying and signing was Sven Botman. He played a role in the signing of Bruno too 🙌🏻 He signed Allan Saint Maximin 👏🏻 and Miguel Almiron 👏🏻as well as Joelinton as a centre forward 😬 He’s not led transfers for a long time. He wasn’t behind the signing of Tonali, Thiaw, Hall, Isak, Osula, Gordon or Livramento. And no he wasn’t leading last summer’s less successful window either. He leaves with everyone’s best wishes but Newcastle have got Ross Wilson leading things. Eddie Howe has the final say on players as he always has done. More hits than misses. They’ll be fine
