A lot of criticism about Water logging in Hyderabad during the recent downpour. Having lived abroad for 25 years I can tell you such things happen even in America and Dubai. No drainage system is designed to process large amounts of rainfall suddenly. It would become cost ineffective. I’m not saying we shouldn’t strive for better infrastructure, but that such occurrences few times a year should be tolerated as an act of nature.

Power restored at 5 PM. The Assistant Engineer & DE personally called me and apologized. Apparently many trees are close to powerlines, and with the onset of monsoons, they snap the cables causing power outages. Hopefully with today’s branch trimming job, we will not experience such long power outages again. thank you dear AE & DE of Electricity dept for your quick response. I think one of the worst things the internet did to reading was turn it into a pathetic competitive sport. You don’t need a 45 book goal. You just need to read what you actually like, at your own pace, and let the ideas sink in longer than a fleeting Instagram reel.

This is a great initiative to empower woman to ride two wheelers for employment. While on the subject, India has the highest number of 2- wheelers in the world, but it doesn’t have a single two wheeler riding school ‼️ Think about it. You have Car Driving schools, truck Driving Schools, but bike Driving School? ZERO 0️⃣ 48% of all Road deaths in India are bikers (that’s nearly 90,000 lives). Maybe it’s time we started 2- wheeler riding schools. I’ve seen them in USA and Europe, so it’s not a new concept.

I’ve said this before, Hyderabad’s ORR is a game changer. Add to it the various flyovers and our beloved PVNR Elevated Highway and you know that a lot of planning and execution went in from each successive government over the decades.
