I had the strangest dream.
I was labbing Smash Ult ROB (don't ask why this dream occurred) and I found a tech that could cancel moves in the middle of startup frames. In the dream I input Bair into a mid-air Burner Boost...
But I realised other characters could do it and..
.. the sweeping changes this meant for every character meant that the entire metagame would change (and steve would no longer be number 1 in the game).
I had to sit on the thought of whether or not I should have released the tech to the masses and be responsible for changing Ult

Brawlback is gonna have an alpha release that will only be rollback in game, no matchmaking. It’ll be achieved by merging the brawlback code into the existing P Dolphin, you’ll still have to open the netplay window and send a connect code as usual but actual gameplay will include rollback.
This is being done as a way to get rollback out sooner, allow for testing and bug checking, and let players play while WhiteT focuses on menu’s and the actual launcher, app, etc. for the eventual full release. Remember that this will be an ALPHA release, not the full release so don’t expect it to be the full product.

Here, ROB has high rage and the first GNair was scuffed, if he had done only GyroNairs, the combo would fail.
This is also an instance of z-drop loop catching 2 DI Aways! 🔥

Similarly, when I hit a Z-drop loop conversion on MinMin, it was after she DId away on a STRONG NAIR. I also had significant rage.
The fact Z-drop loop still works vs DI in and DI away is what makes it so damn strong.

We did 2 things today! Hit a 1 part z-drop loop on a real player (MINMIN OF ALL CHARS) and incorporated it into a lengthy ZZLIC conversion!

Holy moly, i dunno man, the way it started and the way it ended, the boy was so fortunate he got it all to link!
Looking at all the Ult and Melee results for genesis was nothing short of shocking.
However, whilst I wanted Sonix to win Ult and Trif Melee... I just want to make an absolutely special shoutout to @ZombaSalvatore for an absolutely amazing as f*** run through Steves and G&Ws.
3) If ROB hits Strong gyro nair and needs more than 1 Gnair, mash up and away, he will have to end the combo early, if he continues, the combo drops. (This is what Doramigi needed). It is not always possible to know if the first nair was strong, but you may check % or position..
3) cont. With the doramigi example, he jumped and zomba came down with late nair and hit tipper of the bottom of the nair. It's not very hard to understand this happened as it does, so that will signal to mash up and away for the rest of the combo. Though I may see it easier tbf.
