This past Friday, the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour,
@stevenmackinnon visited Achēv’s Mississauga headquarters to announce an investment of over $75 million through the Sustainable Jobs Training Fund. The investment will support eight projects across all regions of Canada, providing training opportunities for more than 10,000 Canadian workers & helping them gain the expertise needed for jobs in electric vehicle maintenance, green buildings and retrofits, low-carbon energy, and carbon management.
Achēv’s own project, “EVolveSkills: Empowering Tomorrow’s Automotive Workforce Today!” is a collaborative initiative along with our partners
@isans_ca,
@DIVERSEcityBC,
@PlugN_Drive,
@myVCC,
@NSCCNews,
@MohawkCollege,

@sheridancollege, and multiple stakeholders in the Automotive Industry spanning Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
Thanks to the Government of Canada’s investment, EvolveSkills will equip the workforce of small and medium-sized enterprises with the skills necessary to repair and maintain electric vehicles. Over the next three years, over 1,000 individuals will receive training, helping create pathways for a sustainable and skilled workforce for the EV sector.
Thank you, Minister MacKinnon, MP
