#VRChat creators are geekin if they don't do optimization this shit can be actually fun and fulfilling. Left side I had to brute force texture resolution and compression to get to that VRAM usage. Right side? Atlasing reduced the amount of mats by 37 and less VRAM usage.

Also the shading on the old one was kinda fucked but thats fine. That was just an accident. Im mainly worried about texture fidelity here. Im thinking of doing a tutorial on how I do this since I never had anyone show me how this works. Also the high mat count is from particles

Ill also admit atlasing is not the end all be all for optimization as it does need to generate a new UV map and all that and so it can mess with future fuckery. But if you know you're not messing with the model later on, its peak. Its also easy to keep a backup of the old model.
