Morning, with me on #mycommute is perfect timing! Our “Champion” Magnolia campbellii subsp.mollicomata, on the south lawn vista, is opening its flowers on the day we open for our season ticket holders and ready for our reopening on Friday!

Morning with me on #mycommute is Magnolia campbellii ‘Charles Raffill’ one of the champion trees that help trigger spring when all 6 trees have 50 flowers or more as counted on the @TheNareHotel “bloomometer”. the tree is over 6 “Millie-meters” tall

Morning, with me on #mycommute is an annual disappointment! Camellia ‘Fragrant Pink’ does just one part of its name…it’s definitely pink! As for fragrant…Not that I can smell (could just be me but I’m not known for being wrong on anything!🤔😱😎😂😂)

Happy Chinese New Year.
Did I ever tell you about my trips to China? The first photo is from Guilin, what a view! The last 2 are from the ICS congress, 2012, Yunnan
If you have several spare hours I can tell you all about the trips….#chinesenewyear more info over on instagram
Morning with me on #mycommute are Hellebores, everywhere! Didn’t have any in the garden when I started now we have a good mix of the deep dark ones through pinks to the pure ish white ones. Which is your favourite?

Not our strongest point but we are slowly building up our snowdrop numbers. From only two small clump to several “swathes” throughout the woodland garden now. Remember plant/divide when still “in the green”.

Morning with me on #mycommute is the little fluffyness of Acacia baileyana ‘Purpurea’ in our silent space. A “tender” small tree which is benefiting from the south facing red brick wall.
