Fellow #gamedev...do you get to a point in prototyping where you have to fight the urge to flesh out one aspect of the prototype at the detriment of not completing the prototype?
Why doesn't look_at(get_global_mouse_position) actually look at where the mouse is pointing? 🤔 I have to rotate(PI/2) to get it to work. #gamedev#gdscript#godot#help
Working on the shop UI, was thinking of going for a rusty, worn-out look, but it makes the font too hard to read. Seems kinda cluttery too. #indiedev#godot#pixelart
Don't look at my absolutely horrendous prototype art...
This time I actually made a timeline for myself, wrote down to-dos, and made a plan. #gamedev#pixelart#indiedev
The big question is: Which head looks like a good ant head? Might end up using them all, but some for NPCs. I'm digging the green eyes, personally. #gamedev#pixelart#gameboycolor
I pulled out a random RPG Maker project that I worked on like 3 years ago. Why? Because I need to work on follow through! Can I actually finish a project I start? Or will I just keep jumping from project to project? #indiedev#rpgmaker
Dear fellow #indiedev s:
When you hit a hard part of development that really challenges you, how do you keep yourself from moving on to another project because it's difficult? Asking for a friend...👀#gamedev#GodotEngine
Today, not much to show. Started working on a wave manager system, ended up with me refactoring the enemy node and still haven't figured out how I'm implementing it yet.
How would you create a scalable enemy?

Last night, I decided to focus on just the basics to get a prototype up and running without all the visuals. (I have a habit of polishing way to early) This morning, I made a functional turret that rotates based on enemy position! #gamedev#GodotEngine#pixelartist
I wasted a few days implementing currently useless features into my prototype...
-shaders
-masking
-toggling visibility with mouse position
(I also implemented dragging and dropping)

This was a great book. It gives some great principles to use when planning any project.
I'm going to work hard to "think slow, act fast" or "make haste slowly"
