You know how many younger hitters would stay in the league if they rhythmically load earlier than they think they should. Especially against guys they haven’t seen before. You want to see 92 and not 98, do that. Stay behind the ball. You’re in time during BP, late in the game.

The best athletes focus on the details of their body. Here are two everyone can do: ✅ Hydration: 1/2-2/3rds your body weight in fluid ounces of alkaline water ✅ Sleep: Completely in the dark, wake at the end of REM cycles, and most regenerative sleep is before midnight

Ok, I'll say it. If I never hear the terms "hip-to-shoulder" separation" or "stride length" again, I'll be just fine. Muscles have a range within which they are optimally lengthened or stretched, and in the abs and glutes that bandwidth is narrow. floridabaseballranch.com/sep…

If you’re a coach starting out, immerse yourself in technology, research and film. Learn from the greats. The floor is higher, but access to the tech will unlock so much potential for the masses. The research that has been done has pushed the ceiling to new heights as well.

When I started coaching, I tried to learn as much as possible. That’s still the case to this day. I’ve screwed up & taught the wrong thing more times than I’d like to admit. But as coaches, it’s our duty to learn as much as we can, help as many as we can, and encourage everyone.

Over the past few months, I’ve made it a goal of mine to learn Spanish. I took Spanish for 3 year in high school but was comically bad at it. With a ton of free time during quarantine, I took it upon myself to see whether there was a better way to learn.

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life--think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.
