If you're a fan of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli and saw Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, you still may not know her glider, the Mehve, has been recreated in real life by artist Kazuhiko Hachiya.
It's called M-02J and has a 963 cm wingspan.

Since all the geek pundits are roasting TRON: ARES I will say again that the Tron 2.0 video game from 22 years ago was a better, more faithful sequel to the original, than Legacy. It feels more like a Tron movie, focuses on Alan Bradley and his family, and brilliantly brings the world inside the computer forward into the internet age. All without sacrificing the Syd Mead aesthetic that made Tron unique among dork franchises of the 1980s.
