Because every single time someone uses this word, it’s used as a moral cudgel rather than a neutral descriptor. The entire intention is to morally legitimize dispossessing someone and stripping them of their humanity, all while arguing that whatever awful thing you intend to do to them is a justified act of revenge. You can’t expect someone to just accept that entire political movements are going to pop up and explicitly signal that they’re committed to intentionally making their lives worse. They’re going to fight you, and rejecting your fake moralizing that’s blatantly being employed to justify attacking them in the first place is one of the easiest ways of pushing back.
why are spaniards so mad about being called colonizers damn just accept the truth

Australia banned X for children but not BlueSky. Britain is banning X for children but not BlueSky. This proves one thing. It's not about protecting children. It's about censorship and controlling the narrative.

I'm for building bridges. But not to people who burn them down.
You have no idea how much of a whitepill this is. There’s this tendency on the Right where everyone wants the GOP or the “conservative movement”, or the country itself to be everything for everyone. There are no enemies, there’s no opposing worldview to negate, there's only technical economic challenges that we have to tackle. And yet, this unwillingness to ever declare a public enemy means that the Right is always ceding ground and making concessions to minoritarian groups in the name of openness and acceptance and tolerance, despite the fact that those same groups would never extend such liberal sympathies if they were the ruling the majority. Any political movement that is willing to bend over backwards for everyone and tries to represent every identity group on the planet and refuses to admit that some forces are hostile to the very order it claims to defend is not really a political movement at all. It is quite literally a form of controlled opposition that inevitably becomes the means through which every organized hostile force extracts concessions from the very people the movement itself supposedly exists to represent. For too long, the “conservative movement” has been a sponge that exists for no other reason than to absorb this growing outrage from the American people who are watching their own country being given away. This cannot continue any longer. The sponge can’t absorb any more outrage. And so, you’re just going to see more and more headlines like this where Americans publicly stand up and declare the obvious truth that America is not a universalist project for everyone. It’s our home, and there’s no longer any room for those whose ideology or religion would naturally destroy this entire country if they ever became a majority.

The battle will never be over.
the battle is not over until every trace of leftists ideology and progressivism itself has been purged from society.

You solve it by accepting that all politics is theological and someone's worldview will always be promoted, so it may as well be ours. Wokeism is a religion that evolved to circumnavigate the First Amendment's ban on state religions. It's an ideological virus that could overcome the immune system the Founders constructed. Understanding that means that we can never go back to the old myth of neutrality. As John Adams warned over 200 years ago, the system only worked for a moral and religious people. The entire concept of "separation of church and state" only functioned so long as 90% of the population were devout Anglo-Protestants. It was never designed to work in a multi-cultural state where one side of the political divide can weaponize their political theology without ever admitting that they have a theology at all.
One of the great power imbalances between conservatives and Leftists is the fact that our religion is religion, while their religion masquerades as politics. As such, we are governed by SCOTUS-determined “separation of church and state” and the Leftists are not. Case in point: “Pride Month.” This is a month-long celebration of the Left’s religion, but because it is not treated as a religion, federal/state/local governments everywhere can indulge in it. However, if we were to try and have governments celebrating “Jesus Month,” the lawsuits would be so thick you couldn’t cut through them with a rainbow chainsaw. I’m not sure how to solve this.

The reason why prison is so terrible is not because of the arbitrary rules, guards, destitution, poor health care, or even the difficulty speaking to your family. No, the worst thing about it is the violent criminals you're forced to live with. Don't put yourself in prison.
Living this way is a choice.

Oh my God, another one. I'm dying laughing.
There came a knock at my gate, and a young warrior, small but formidable, stood ready for battle. She was perhaps nine. Behind her, at the sidewalk, a parent stood like a supply wagon. The sash carried badges of past campaigns. She looked up at me and spoke the words every American fears and longs for: "Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies?" In Japan, sales require months of relationship. Tea is poured. Cards are exchanged with two hands. Here, a nine-year-old general appears on your own land with a binder of product, and resistance has never once succeeded in the history of the republic. "What is your strongest unit?" I asked. "Thin Mints. Everybody gets Thin Mints." "And if I refuse?" She did not answer. She looked at me. The parent shifted weight. Somewhere, a wind chime rang. Refusal, I understood, was technically possible the way swimming to Hawaii is technically possible. "Four boxes," I said. "Most people get more. They freeze." THEY FREEZE. Forward logistics. This child carries doctrine my family needed three centuries to learn: the campaign is won before it is fought, in the freezer. I bought nine boxes. I am told this is called a start. Dale confessed he buys from three generals, granddaughter, coworker's daughter, the girl at the supermarket table, and hides the count from his wife. Tribute, he calls it. Correct. This is not commerce. This is fealty, paid annually, in cookies. I was not hungry. I was outranked. A man does not negotiate with a general who brings Thin Mints. He surrenders, and calls it a donation. The boxes are in my freezer, as instructed. They are nearly gone. She said she would return next year. I have already begun setting aside funds. One does not meet such a commander unprepared twice.

I try not to quote tweet too many silly jokes on my ostensibly serious political channel. But damn, this is just a work of art on so many levels.
USA. I went to New York. I ordered pizza. The man folded it in half before I could speak. I watched this. I said nothing. In my country, you do not fold a blade. You respect its full length. This man folded it like a letter. A letter to whom? About what? I folded mine. I ate it folded. I felt something shift inside me. This was not a technique. This was a philosophy. Then I went to Chicago. The pizza arrived. It was not a pizza. It was a fortress. Walls of dough. A moat of cheese. Tomato sauce on top, facing outward, like a warning. They gave me a knife and fork. I understood immediately. Chicago does not give you pizza. Chicago gives you a siege. I ate through the walls. It took a long time. The cheese did not end. I began to respect it the way you respect an opponent who will not fall down. On the plane between cities, I thought carefully. New York says: be fast. fold. move. Chicago says: sit down. commit. you are not leaving. These are not pizza styles. These are life philosophies. These are two ways of being a person. I landed. A New Yorker asked which I preferred. Before I could answer, a man in a Chicago Bulls hat said: "Don't." They argued for eleven minutes. I was not involved. I was simply the reason. I have started both arguments in three cities now. I do not give my opinion. I only ask the question. The question does the rest. New York or Chicago? I need to understand what kind of person I am. Please advise. Separately. Do not reply to each other.

Democrats think an insult isn't an insult if it's passive aggressive instead of vulgar. "Decency" means hiding your sneer behind your hand and using innuendo when you put others down.
Charlamagne: "All you do when you bring the Obamas up is remind people what is currently missing from the White House. The Obamas set a standard for decency and class and poise and intelligence. That no longer exists now"

Its not about protecting kids but harvesting IDs and restricting Free Speech UK its about to get a lot worse for you
We are banning social media access for under 16s. These days kids must find their feet in a world where technology intrudes into every area of their life. I just can’t let that go on anymore. So we’re giving children their childhoods back.
Community note
The UK Government's 'careful review' of the research found a small correlation between children's use of social media and wellbeing, but no evidence of a causal effect: gov.uk/government/pub… assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/696e0b46…

It's crazy to me how many people are unable to separate themselves as a unique individual from a demographic they belong to. I get assuming that others are like you, but this kind of mental blindness goes way beyond that.

De Niro: I hate to say it, but loving our country is starting to sound like an abused spouse saying they love their abuser. I can’t love a country that starts stupid and inhumane wars, killing thousands of innocents and indirectly causing the deaths and suffering of millions more. I can’t love a country that takes healthcare away from millions of people and uses that money to enrich their pals in the Trump-Epstein class. I can’t love a country that sends out masked militias to shoot citizens in the streets, torture our neighbors, and separate families. I can’t love a country that’s led by a racist, misogynist, xenophobic tyrant. And let me just say it: I can’t love a country that’s led by Donald Trump and his sycophant Congress.

Insane money hungry evil government
BREAKING: The Netherlands just told its citizens to go to hell. 36% tax on unrealized gains. Approved. You didn't sell anything. You didn't make a single euro in cash. Your portfolio went up on paper. The government sends you a bill anyway. 61,000 citizens petitioned against it. Parliament approved it anyway. No cash to pay the tax? Not their problem. Asset crashes after you paid? Not their problem. This is not tax policy. This is the government treating your paper gains as their income. Before you've made a single euro. The most talented Dutch investors are already leaving. Capital goes where it is treated best. 2028 is coming. Plan accordingly.
