That's a wrap on day 1 of the @UNECE #ESDForum2024 ๐ Youth was the focus of today and tomorrow will be other stakeholders.
I'll be moderating an exciting policy/advocacy workshop with 4 amazing panelists. I'm looking forward to hearing more ideas on meaningful #ESD engagement.

@AttiyaWaris answered my question about the integrity of the #LossAndDamage Fund if it becomes a low-interest loan scheme. Waris answered that this outcome would create a whole other "emergency" within the current climate emergency. She gave an example of the Bahamas [1/3]

The Bahamas has been struck by 4 cyclones in recent years, and has gone further into debt for the recovery of the country with each cyclone. They have just finished paying off the 1st loan which allowed them to repair buildings, which then were destroyed 3 times again... [2/3]
