Shawn Fraraccio, a 26-year-old with intellectual and developmental disabilities, was transferred today to a state-supported facility.
It should not have taken more than 446 days.
I want to thank the community advocates and the @TxJailProject for bringing his circumstance to my attention.
Their advocacy demonstrates the impact that community engagement has in driving accountability and change in county government.
