Get ready to watch employers leave MN. This is some of the most unmanageable policy I have ever seen. You will create workforce shortages through abuse of this policy and employers will be forced to relocate.
One of the best paid family and medical leave programs in the entire country is starting here in Minnesota on January 1st. I've been organizing for over 12 years, and we finally got it done.

The bank lobby is critical of the stablecoin bill not because they want to kill competition per se. They think it is unfair for a non-bank to do banking without any of the laws and regulations applicable to banks. And they kind of have a point.

I was hoping you would share this photo @BradMBolton! I can’t believe they are both gone but we’ll carry on in their honor.
During my @ICBA Chairman year, I visited @BankInMinnesota ‘s annual convention and really got to know and love these two community bank legends! It’s hard to believe we now have lost them both way too soon and within five months of each other. I have confidence that thru both of their faith in Christ they are reunited telling stories once again! Rest in peach #ShortRound and #Fastbuck! Your legacies will live on thru the countless lives you interacted with and the #CommunityBanking industry will forever be greatful for your service and dedication! @rosacker_ii @forbesieswife @MnRed1974

My Maryland community bank is being sold to a Massachusetts credit union. I have no affiliation with them, but apparently they can keep me as a customer.  Love CU’s but they should have meaningful limits on membership given their tax-exempt status and lighter regulation. Unfair competion is hurting community banks.  @ICBA @Cam_Fine

Congratulations, @RepFrenchHill! French is a good friend and an outstanding legislator. I look forward to working with him in the 119th Congress to ensure the American economy and capital markets remain the envy of the world.
I am humbled that my colleagues have placed their trust in me to lead @FinancialCmte as their next Chairman. It was a privilege to join my exceptional colleagues, @RepAndyBarr, @RepHuizenga, and @RepFrankLucas, in sharing our visions for this committee. hill.house.gov/news/document…

Presidential candidates are running around announcing giveaways. The federal government is going to spend $1.6T more than it took in this year. There will be no giveaways. Be smarter.

Safe travels @LucasNWhite ! We look forward to welcoming you to our @BankInMinnesota convention in Duluth. Wrinkled suits are allowed! 😀
On my way north to visit the @ICBA office in Sauk Centre and attend the @BankInMN_Jim convention. Beautiful ride along the Mississippi. And yes, my suit is going to be very wrinkled!

No secret, I think credit unions are currently an illegal scam based upon how they’ve lost their mission. “Let us help the disadvantaged” they say. “Let us help the forgotten folks in small business” they request. “Remove our cap on business lending so the small borrower can get access to capital” is the refrain. Then their lending hits the front page cause they are attempting to foreclose on this⬇️. Give me a break. $40mm loans. Not sure who in the SMB market you lend to, but that doesn’t seem SMB to me. CU either need to pay taxes or stay within their original mission. End of story.

I have to pick up my daughter, so I’m now listening to the speech on my car radio instead of watching it on TV. It’s even more bizarre sounding on the radio. This is the weirdest worst delivered speech I have ever heard. It’s just too fast. It’s too amped up. Just weird.

icba.org/newsroom/news-and-a… Why is @JoeBiden fixing prices and interfering with competition and consumer choice? It's an election year & it makes for a good SOTU sound bite. Pay your income taxes, property taxes or city utilities late & see how "fair" gov't is with their late fees.

How can a credit union charge $18 million in overdraft fees, pay its CEO $12 million, buy stadium naming rights, and still be considered a 'non-profit' helping people? Ask San Diego County Credit Union and its other brand NICU, because we all see this: politico.com/news/magazine/2…

Beginning today, Minnesota will have the highest corporate income tax in the country (9.8%). Add to that the impacts of last session’s massive tax increases, business mandates, and employee mandates, Minnesota is a significantly less competitive place to do business.
