On this #InternationalWomensDay2026 let's remember the woman who made it possible for women to wear The Crown of England. This beautiful silver piece is unique & I've never seen one before. It was probably made around the time of Mary's funeral in 1558, or for later recuscants.

I cannot believe I'm holding this on my birthday!! A Mary & Philip penny (1554-58). Though Philip's initial is there, only Mary is depicted. The legend on the obverse is ROSA SINE SPINE. This is one of only a few known survivals still in England. I'm speechless

While we’re talking about politicians and tax, a reminder that Nigel Farage works for a company that exists to help rich people avoid tax.

Please Watch, Understand & take note: Not a single UK Media Organisation, Presenter, or Journalist EVER speaks to Farage like this. Every single time he speaks, He sets the agenda & it's *Always* on His terms. We're in the final act of a decade long Project to Weld him in as PM.
Congress did its homework on Nigel Farage:

Londoners rightly expect firm action to address crime and keep our communities safe. I am glad to see that, thanks to record funding from @sadiqkhan, crime is falling across London. x.com/mayoroflondon/status/1…

The latest figures show robbery, theft, residential burglary and knife crime are down in London, but there's still a long way to go before I’m satisfied. Backed with record funding from City Hall, the Met is putting high-visibility policing at the heart of fighting crime.

A memorial to John Cabot outside the building containing a replica of his ship, the Matthew, in Bonavista, Newfoundland. Cabot’s voyage across the Atlantic in 1497 in an expedition backed by Henry VII of England had profound consequences, leading to the colonisation of much of North America by the British. He likely first sighted land at Bonavista #johncabot #newfoundland

In 1555 the Spanish Netherlands eagerly waited for their new monarchs to inherit. This beautiful brass token celebrates Philip & Mary. The reverse acknowledges Mary as Queen of Spain.

Hello, I've been quietly working on this and now I'm made up to share that I've signed a contract with @Palgrave to publish my first book: UNPOSSIBLE HISTORY IN EARLY MODERN ENGLAND. As a working-class wool from Merseyside, this is a big deal for me & I'm dead chuffed – cheers!
