Mission Monday: Preparing Educators to Serve North Carolina
@UNC is relaunching its undergraduate elementary education degree, part of @UNCSchoolofEd, reaffirming Carolina’s mission to serve the people of North Carolina through public education.
Launching in Fall 2026, the redesigned program prepares future teachers with hands-on classroom experience, evidence-based instruction, and dual licensure in elementary education plus either special education or English as a second language—skills that directly reflect the needs of today’s classrooms.
By combining rigorous academics, immersive fieldwork, and a focus on access and innovation, Carolina is preparing the next generation of educators to make an immediate impact in schools across the state.
