🇸🇸#SouthSudan’s Tonj region is plagued by persistent conflict between communities. To provide protection and support peacebuilding, #UNMISS peacekeepers patrolled areas in Tonj East and South to assess the security and engage with local leaders. Their presence helped reassure communities in Maboir Yar in the wake of fighting just days prior and provided practical support to address healthcare challenges in Thiet, including cement for repairs to the clinic and other essential items.
